27th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival:
Join thousands of spectators as this colorful Irish Congress of Southern California St. Patrick's Day Parade winds its way through the streets around Balboa Park. Bands, floats, equestrian units, fire trucks, dancers, clowns, pipers and Irish setters will all be a part of this lively event celebrating Irish heritage. Parade starts at 11am rain or shine. This year's parade theme is "Celebrating the Culinary Arts." There will be two beer gardens and an expanded Celtic village depicting ancient Irish life, complete with sword battling demonstrations.
