Whale Watching Season:
From December through March, visitors to San Diego have the unique opportunity to glimpse one of the nature's most extraordinary events - the migration of California gray whales from the chilly Alaskan seas to the warm water lagoons of Baja California where they birth and rear their young. AMERICA opens to public for whale watching:
Typically available for private / corporate charter only, the yacht is open to the general public for an exciting sailing experience on the ocean off San Diego in search of whales. The "America's Cup" is named after this 139 foot yacht and a sail on her is a "once in a lifetime" thrill.

Fiddler on the Roof:

USA Sevens Rugby Tournament:
Teams from 16 nations will converge on PETCO Park for the USA Sevens Rugby Tournament. This global event will be seen in 150 million homes in 130 countries and broadcast in 10 different languages. The tournament is part of the International Rugby Board's World Seven Series in which similar events occur in Dubai, New Zealand, Hong Kong and London among others. The Sevens Series will stay in San Diego for the next five years.
